Please read the below participant agreement. You must click "I agree," in order to proceed to the payment page and reserve your spot in the upcoming Self-Compassion for Children and Caregivers Teacher Training and online curriculum study.
You will need a free Zoom account in order to participate in the live-online sessions for this training. https://zoom.us/. If a computer or tablet is available in a secure, private location, we recommend using it rather than a phone. Participants are expected to attend all three live-online training sessions.
The asynchronous curriculum study will be hosted using the PowerSchool Learning platform.
All participants in this training will be given access to the Self-Compassion for Children and Caregivers (SCCC) Teacher Guide and teacher training videos. The SCCC program and Teacher Guide was developed by Jamie Lynn Tatera. The SCCC program was adapted from the adult version of Mindful Self-Compassion, created by Kristin Neff, Ph.D. and Chris Germer and includes metaphors adapted from the Path to Resilience, created by Jamie Lynn Tatera.
The Self-Compassion for Children and Caregivers Teacher Guide is only available to trained Self-Compassion for Children and Caregivers teachers. Please do not give the Teacher Guide to anyone who has not taken the Self-Compassion for Children and Caregivers teacher training. Also, please do not copy and/or distribute any materials from the Teacher Guide or share access to the teacher training resources.
To become a fully trained teacher of the Self-Compassion for Children and Caregivers program, in addition to completing the live-online training sessions, participants also need to successfully teach the SCCC program while simultaneously completing three live-online mentorship sessions (one mentorship session after teaching sessions 1 and 2, a second mentorship session after teaching sessions 3 and 4, and a third mentorship session after teaching sessions 5 and 6).
