Life can be stressful, and as educators and caregivers we want to be able to help our children to effectively cope with adversity. Teaching children to practice self-compassion can help children (and their caregivers) to respond more effectively to life’s challenges.
Numerous research studies show that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional well-being, coping with life challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, and more satisfying personal relationships. It is a gift to be able to help children develop this inner strength.
