"The Path to Resilience helped me break through my old pattern of ruminating on either just the good or just the bad - which tended to result in extreme highs and extreme lows. I'm more equipped to hold all of my emotions at once, recognize that they all belong together, and appreciate that side-by-side feelings are a natural (and beautiful) part of human life."
-Devin Scott

"I wanted you to know that you have added value to my life this year. Your teachings on the Mindful Self Compassion Course and the Path to Resilience course have led to a deepening in my ability to be self-compassionate. I am able to connect to and identify my emotions more readily now and I feel that this will continue to deepen as I continue to work with the tools that you shared with us. I have appreciated being supported by you and learning from you very much."  Many thanks, Lisa A

“I have taken this class twice and each time Jamie Lynn led me to uncover many magnificent buried treasures! Allowing myself to hold opposite side-by-side feelings at the same time has made an impact on my thinking and emotions. Another helpful skill has been to practice kindness and compassion in lieu of feeling helpless over another’s suffering.”
-Linda Berman

"Thank you so much for teaching this class, it opened up new doors for me :)"  Shana, MSC participant

"The Path to Resilience class was extraordinary!  It was full of information and mindfulness practices, which caused me to have a better appreciation for myself and others.  This course lays out fundamental distinctions in mindfulness and self-compassion, which can be practiced and developed like a skill. I'm looking forward to sharing what I'm learning with my family, my community, and my world."
Thanks,
Charles L. Robinson, JD

•Jamie Lynn is a very knowledgeable and passionate instructor. She has brought experience, energy, and enthusiasm to her courses and has been a positive influence. She is professional and personable.

My first exposure to mindfulness classes was with Jamie Lynn in her Mindfulness course. I took that course along with several of my teaching colleagues. We all learned valuable strategies and techniques we use in our own classrooms and in our personal lives. Because Jamie Lynn is well-researched and brought a passionate approach to this very needed course, I signed up for more of her classes: Mindful Self Compassion and the Power of Presence. These classes have provided tools and techniques I continue to implement into my lessons and my everyday practices.

As an educator, I have found these course offerings to be useful and valuable not only to my profession but also to my daily life. In using Jamie Lynn's mindfulness strategies and techniques in my classes, I have noticed that my own students have become more peaceful and less stressful or wrought with anxieties, I have become more mindful in my teaching practices and in my relationships, and I have become more intentional in practicing kindness and self-compassion.

-Becca P.--high school teacher

-Laura H., Parent

"My daughter and I really looked forward to our time every week with Jamie Lynn.  She has such a calming presence and was able to facilitate discussions between my daughter and I that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.  Jamie Lynn introduced many very practical strategies to help my daughter and I deal with the stress of life,  I feel as if I understand better how to help my daughter get what she needs in order to be happy. " -Beth A., Whitefish Bay

"I had a couple of key take-aways from each session and I truly enjoyed our little group and the respective experiences and insights that each shared.  I found myself thinking that 60 minute sessions were not long enough once we were in the flow of the sessions -- wishing something took longer on a Sunday night really says something about how valuable I found the sessions! Thank you for your work and helping me model some resilient life practices for my troops!!"
-Pete

"Dear Jamie Lynn,
It has been a privilege to have a professional of your depth in our home dispensing tailored Mindfulness training.  I am thrilled with the new levels of inner balance I experience.  And I know exactly what I am doing (and not doing!) to be balanced. The class experience is entirely reproducible in my daily work and play. It gives me confidence and I highly recommend anyone considering a group or private course put themselves into your capable hands.
It is a rare and wonderful thing to find material profoundly relevant, and both my daughter and I had this occur.

In our eight weeks together, we have delved into Mindfulness, skillfully relating to difficult feelings, and into positive Neuroplasticity.  The information has naturally opened the conversation in our home to include our inner lives of emotion and awareness.  With a child on the threshold of adulthood and another on the threshold of puberty, these skills come at a critical time.  What better way to hold on to the tender connection with our two growing children than to meet one another’s inner abstract world."
Jennifer G., Shorewood, WI

"My son was mad this evening because his sister would not share her toy.  He went in his room and closed the door which is unusual. I asked if I could come in after 15 min or so.  I asked how he was doing. 'Mad!' And I asked what he wanted to do about it and he said, in a calmer voice, “Well, I did do self compassion.” 'Nice!!!' I said,  'That’s great. What did you do?'
My son told me that he thought about how other people also have sisters who make them mad, that he acknowledged this was difficult and he felt his feet. Wow! Then I asked if doing those things changed how he felt.  At first he seemed like he was going to say no but I watched him think about it.  Then he said, 'Yes, it did help.'  Thank you, Jamie Lynn, for this class."
