Videos relating to Compassion Resilience

This is Part I of a two part video series on Compassion Resilience in which Jamie Lynn describes different levels of activation in which people can practice compassion.
Part 1 Summary: Compassion involves connecting with others' pain with a sense of resonance and warmth.  We can practice compassion in our comfort zone and in our challenge zone, but it becomes more difficult to practice compassion when we feel overwhelmed.

Discussion question: How do you know (what are the mental, physical, and emotional signs) when you have become overwhelmed while practicing compassion?

This is Part 2 of a two part video series on Compassion Resilience in which Jamie Lynn explains how self-compassion can help people to sustainably practice compassion toward others.
Part 2 Summary: We all can become overwhelmed when we resonate with too much emotional pain.  Using self-compassion strategies can help us to soothe and calm ourselves so that we can again effectively practice compassion for others.

Discussion question: What are some on the spot self-compassion or mindfulness strategies that you can use to help yourself move back into your comfort zone when you notice that you have become overwhelmed?
